Our History, and Why Choose Us For Your Travel Arrangements?

History:

A bad encounter with a large travel agency in 1983 led to our creation. There were two specific issues with them that made us decide we could do better. First, they did not listen to what we wanted from the very start. Second, they tried to rush us into selecting itineraries of their choosing. We always loved to travel, so after training with Trans World Airlines Travel College in the spring of 1984, our first small travel agency, P and R Travel in Phoenix AZ was opened. In 2002 an arrangement was made with a very reputable travel agency in Phoenix to service our clients, when an opportunity arose to join the management team with the Hertz Corporation, and thus still work in a travel related field. Retirement from Hertz Corporation took place in November of 2018. The travel bug hit quite soon thereafter, now having the time to do so. It was the traveling and booking of our personal travel arrangements over the next three years, that we realized just how much we missed the travel agency. As such, Find Time to Travel opened in July of 2022.

Why Choose Us:

Find Time to Travel is a small agency by design. Having been fortunate enough to enjoy traveling for so many years, nothing brings us more joy than to assist our clients with all that various travel experiences have to offer. Our goal is to take the time and stress of making arrangements away from our clients, so they can focus on other important matters until the date of travel arrives. First and foremost, we LISTEN to our clients. It is the client's vacation not ours, so before making our suggestions (unless asked to do so) we will first listen to what our clients may have in mind. We want to provide what is asked for to the extent that we can, or then make suggestions that best match their interests and desires. Next we try to ask as many relevant questions as we can so that we can focus in on the interest and desires that have been expressed. We take whatever time is necessary for research, and we will never take on more clients or bookings at any given time than we can handle. Contrary to some beliefs, travel agents have not likely been to every destination, sailed on every ship, or believe it or not stayed in every hotel. We do however have a wealth of resources and contacts to obtain information and answers to questions that we do not yet have on hand.

We regularly take training courses through our travel suppliers to keep up to date, and to become proficient in their products. Our most recent training and certifications have been with Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruise Lines, Virgin Voyages, Rocky Mountaineer Rail Adventures, Marriott Hotels and Hilton Hotels.
